• Several researches are being done worldwide about Near Death Experience (NDE).
  
  मृत्यु निकट अनुभव के विषय में संसार भर में अनेकों शोध कार्य किये जा रहे हैं।
  
  
• A near-death experience (NDE) refers to a broad range of personal experiences associated with impending death, encompassing multiple possible sensations ranging from detachment from the body, feelings of levitation, extreme fear, total serenity, security, or warmth, the experience of absolute dissolution, and the presence of a light, which some people interpret as a deity or spiritual presence.
  
  मृत्यु निकट अनुभव उन व्यक्तियों के अनुभवों का संग्रह तथा अध्ययन है जो कि मृत्यु के अत्यन्त समीप से गुजर चुके होते हैं (जैसे कि हृदयाघात से बच जाने वाले लोग, दुर्घटना में मौत के पास पहुँच जाने के बाद भी जीवित रह जाने वाले लोग आदि)। अध्ययन से ज्ञात होता है कि ऐसे लोगों को विभिन्न प्रकार के अनुभव होते हैं जैसे कि स्वयं को अपने ही शरीर से बाहर होते देखना, चरम भय, चरम शांति, अत्यन्त सुरक्षित महसूस करना, भयानक गर्मी का अनुभव, देवताओं की उपस्थिति, अलौकिक प्रकाश का दर्शन आदि।
  
  
• Some cultures and individuals revere NDEs as a paranormal and spiritual glimpse into the afterlife.
  
  कुछ संस्कृतियाँ और व्यक्ति मृत्यु निकट अनुभव को अपसामान्य घटना और मृत्यु पश्चात् असाधारण तथा आध्यात्मिक झलक के रूप में देखते हैं।
  
  
• Such cases are usually reported after an individual has been pronounced clinically dead, or otherwise very close to death, hence the entitlement near-death experience.
  
  चूँकि इस प्रकार के प्रकरणों का वर्णन आमतौर से ऐसे व्यक्ति करते हैं जो कि मौत के बहुत करीब पहुँच कर वापस आये होते हैं, इसलिये इन्हें मृत्यु निकट अनुभव का नाम दिया गया है।
  

 

• Popular interest in near-death experiences was initially sparked by Raymond Moody, Jr's 1975 book "Life After Life" and the founding of the International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) in 1978.
  
  श्री रेमंड मूडी के द्वारा सन् 1975 में लिखी गई पुस्तक "Life After Death" ने "मृत्यु निकट अनुभव" के प्रति आम लोगों की जिज्ञासा एव रुचि को बढ़ा दिया। इस विषय की लोकप्रियता को देखते हुये श्री मूडी ने सन् 1978 में International Association for Near-Death Studies (IANDS) नामक संस्था की स्थापना की।
  
  
• According to a Gallup poll, approximately eight million Americans claim to have had a near-death experience.
  
  गेलुप सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार लगभग अस्सी लाख अमेरिकनों ने "मृत्यु निकट अनुभव" करने का दावा किया है।
  
  
• In some cases, a NDE any particular person experiences varies depending on the beliefs that the person held.
  
  कुछ प्रकरणों व्यक्तियों के मृत्यु निकट अनुभव उनके विश्वास के अनुसार बदले हुये पाये गये हैं अर्थात् व्यक्ति का जैसा विश्वास था वैसा ही उसने मृत्यु निकट अनुभव किया।
  

 

• Typically, the experience follows a distinct progression:

  1. A very unpleasant sound/noise is the first sensory impression to be noticed (R. Moody: Life after Life;.
     
     एक अत्यन्त अप्रिय ध्वनि/शोर सुनाई पड़ना (संदर्भः लाइफ आफ्टर डेथ)।
     
     
  2. A sense of being dead;
     
     स्वयं के मरे हुये होने का ज्ञान।
     
     
  3. Pleasant emotions; calmness and serenity;
     
     
     
     
  4. An out-of-body experience; a sensation of floating above one's own body and seeing the surrounding area;
     
     शरीर से बाहर होकर हवा में तैरते हुये आसपास के क्षेत्र को देखने का अनुभव।
     
     
  5. Floating up a blue tunnel with a strong, bright light or garden at the end;
     
     नीले सुरंग, जिसके अंत में चमकदार प्रकाश या कोई उपवन हो, में तैरते हुये जाने का अनुभव।
     
     
  6. Meeting deceased relatives or spiritual figures;
     
     मरे हुये लोगों या आध्यात्मिक चरित्रों से मुलाकात।
     
     
  7. Encountering a being of light, or a light (often interpreted as being the deity or deities they personally believe in);
     
     अलौकिक प्रकाश दिखाई पड़ना(प्रायः समझा जाता है कि वह प्रकाश उस देवता का रूप होता है जिस पर व्यक्ति का अटूट विश्वास होता है)।
     
     
  8. Being given a life review (the "life-flashing-before-your-eyes" phenomenon);
     
     स्वयं के जीवन-काल का पुनरीक्षण अर्थात् जीवन में घटित घटनाओं का चलचित्र के समान दिखाई पड़ना।
     
     
  9. Reaching a border or boundary;
     
     एक आखरी सीमा में पहुँच जाना।
     
     
  10. A feeling of being returned to the body, often accompanied by a reluctance.
      
      अपने स्वयं के शरीर में फिर से, प्रायः अनिच्छापूर्वक, पहुँचा हुआ महसूस करना।
      
      
  11. Feeling of warmth even though naked.
      
      निर्वस्त्र होने पर भी उष्णता (गर्मी) महसूस करना।
      
      
• According to the Rasch model-validated NDE scale, a "core" near-death experience encompasses peace, joy, and harmony, followed by insight and mystical or religious experiences.
  
  Rasch model-validated NDE मापदंड के अनुसार मृत्यु निकट अनुभव का केन्द्र शांति, आनन्द और एकलयता, जिनमें गूढ़ तथा रहस्यमय आध्यात्मिक अनुभव निहित होते हैं, से घिरा रहता है।
  
  
• Interest in the NDE was originally spurred by the research of such pioneers as Elisabeth Kübler-Ross, George Ritchie, P.M.H. Atwater, and Raymond Moody Jr. Moody's book Life After Life, which was released in 1975, and brought a great deal of attention to the topic of NDEs.
  
  मूलतः एलिसाबेथ कुबलेर रोस, जार्ज रिचे, पी.एम.एच एटवाटर के शोध कार्यों और रेमण्ड मूडी की पुस्तक "लाइफ आफ्टर डेथ" ने मृत्यु निकट अनुभव के प्रति आम लोगों की रुचि को उकसाया।
  
  
• This was soon followed by the establishment of the International Association for Near-death Studies (IANDS), founded in 1978, in order to meet the needs of early researchers and those with NDE experiences within this field of research.
  
  परिणामस्वरूप मृत्यु निकट अनुभव के क्षेत्र में अध्ययन एवं शोधकार्यों के लिये सन् 1978 में "इंटरनेशनल एसोसियेशन फॉर नियर डेथ स्टडीज" नामक संस्था की स्थापना हुई।
  
  
• In September 2008, it was announced that 25 UK and US hospitals will examine near-death studies in 1,500 heart attack patients-survivors.
  
  सितम्बर 2008 में घोषित किया गया है कि यूरोप तथा अमेरिका के 25 अस्पतालों में 1,500 हृदयाघात के रोगियों का अध्ययन करके मृत्यु निकट अनुभवों का परीक्षण किया जायेगा।
